New Functionality for InstantBroker

~ Order Status ~

  1. From Powertool menu screen, select Order Status, click on Action.
  2. Enter SSN & Fidelity PIN # and click Send
  3. Select Account List and click Action
  4. Each brokerage account registered under your SSN will be displayed in a list
  5. Hold down orange "shift" key and scroll to appropriate list number in the Select field. Click Send.
  6. Select "Order List" and click Action.
  7. Use same process as step 5 to choose individual order to attempt to cancel or replace. Click Send.
  8. Highlight "View Order", click wheel and select View to display order.
  9. Click wheel and select Action for Order Status options- Cancel or Replace/Edit.
  10. To attempt to Cancel an order- Select Cancel Order and click wheel. The following disclaimer appears: Send to attempt to cancel order (confirm #). Fidelity will attempt to cancel or replace an open order on a "best efforts" basis. Click Send to enter attempt to cancel order request. You’ll receive a new confirm # with the following disclaimer: Your cancel order has been placed with Fidelity and assigned the unique confirmation number below. Please note: 1) The confirmation number does not indicate the original order was actually cancelled- only that the cancel order was placed; and 2) Your cancellation order is subject to prevailing market conditions and prior execution of your original order.
  11. To attempt to Cancel/Replace an order- select Replace/Edit from Order Status options and click Action. Your order is displayed. Make necessary edits (i.e.- change # of shares, limit, time-in-force, account type). Click and select Send. Highlight "Preview Order" and click View. Review for accuracy. Click and select Action. Choose "Replace Submit" and click to send. The following disclaimer appears: Send to attempt to cancel/replace order (confirm#). Fidelity will attempt to cancel or replace an order on a "best efforts" basis. Click and select Send. A new confirmation # is generated and delivered with the following disclaimer: Your cancel/replace order has been placed with Fidelity and assigned the unique confirmation number below. Please note: 1) The confirmation number does not indicate the original order was actually cancelled- only that the cancel/replace order was placed; and 2) Your replacement order will be submitted for execution only if your original order has been cancelled.
